We are currently looking for a 'gifted' writer that could write brief summaries for each site below. If you would like to email me one or two it would save me a lot of time! | Northern Michigan Birding | This is a bulletin board site concentrating primarily on bird sightings in the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Members (it's free) can post sightings and images, ask questions, offer comments. You don't have to be a member to read reports. This is probably the most extensive site around for birding information in Michigan. It's a great information site for anyone, from novice to expert. | |||

| North American Butterfly Association | This is the largest organized group of butterfly enthusiasts in North America promoting recreational butterfly watching. | Westerm Michigan Chapter of NABA | Michigan's only chapter of the North American Butterfly Association holds indoor meetings at the Herrick Public Library in Holland, and sponsors numerous field trips and butterfly counts in spring and summer. | |||

| Michigan Lepidoptera Survey | The Michigan Lepidoptera Survey (MLS) is a project of the Michigan Entomological Society with the mission to document the identity, distribution and biology of Michigan's diverse lepidopteran fauna. | |||
| Butterflies of Michigan | Part of the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center's "Butterflies of North America" program. This site has images and historical distribution records by County, for all species found in the State. Don't be misled by Isabella County's absence of documentation. If a particular butterfly is found in an adjacent County, it's probably also found in Isabella County. | |||
